A hotdesk in Malta is a free desk in a shared office that you rent by the day, week or month, without your own lease. We run Workspace Gozo in Victoria on Gozo (Malta), planned to open in Q1 2027, with day, week, 10-day and monthly passes. We do not run a space on the main island, and we say so up front.

The basics
A hotdesk is a desk in a shared office that is not yours. You arrive, take a free seat, plug in and work. You pay for the days you use, not for a lease. That makes it the simplest way to get a proper workplace in Malta if you are a freelancer, a remote employee or a founder who does not want a twelve-month contract.
What you get: a desk, internet, a chair made for work and other people around you. What you do not get: a fixed seat or a room you can lock. If you need those, look at a dedicated desk or a private office instead.
Day, week, month
These are the passes of Workspace Gozo. Other providers name theirs differently, but the questions are the same: how often do you come, and how flexible do you need to be?
| Pass | Fits | Good to know |
|---|---|---|
| Day Pass | One work day, a trial day, a day between meetings | Any free hotdesk on your booked day |
| Week Pass | A workcation week, a sprint, a short project | Hotdesk Monday to Friday |
| 10-Day Pass | Two days a week over a few months | Ten flexible days, valid for 6 months |
| Hotdesk Monthly | Staying a month or longer | Unlimited hotdesk access |
| Dedicated Desk | Your own desk and setup | Fixed seat, 24/7 access |
Prices are on the Workspace Gozo page and are indicative until opening.
Before you book
This list works for every provider, ours included. A good space answers all seven without you having to dig.
Main island or Gozo
The main island has the city, the airport, the evenings out and the most choice. Gozo has calm, nature and focus, and a ferry of about 25 minutes in between. Many people land on Malta, spend a few days in the city and then work on Gozo, where the days are quieter.
We do not run a space on the main island. If you have to be in Valletta or Sliema every day, a provider there is the better choice. If you can spare a ferry and want to get real work done, Gozo is worth the trip.
